headcanons; in progress.
 Full name is Alex Jiang
Drives an exceedingly garish Toyota Supra

Jiang is born in the US to a Chinese financial mogul in order to dodge China's birth limit- he has an older sister, and the fines were based on income.
So for most of his life he's spent the school year in the states with his mother, and then summers in Shanghai. His father would hire tutors to round out his "American education", and show him the workings of his businesses.
This changes when he starts high school: they reach an agreement that as long as his grades are acceptable, he can stay on campus over the summer.
This makes him one of the most studious of K's boys; he frequently helps Skov when he struggles
He also kinda wants to hit him in the face with an Algebra book sometimes

Jiang's father is a traditionalist, but he also values innovation and adaptability. He prizes Jiang in part for his ability to navigate the modern world in a way that his father is starting to struggle with.
However, Jiang is mostly interested in art and cars and boys, and the idea of moving to China to take over his dad's company horrifies him.
He also doesn't feel particularly close to his father and his sister, and struggles feeling like he's play-acting the role of some other kid that his family actually wanted.
Jiang starts Aglionby as a freshman when he's fourteen, but was initially sort of a loner as he didn't really fit into any of the social groups.
He kept up with his classes, but was not into studying for its own sake.
He does basketball to cover the school physical activity requirement, but wasn't particularly close with the other boys there. He was far more interested in taking pictures with his camera or sketching people, though he'd always insist that it was just a hobby.
He knows Kavinsky by reputation, but doesn't really meet him until a Friday night near the end of Sophmore year.
K and Proko entice him into racing at the light just past Nino's, which is more or less the spot for pre-gaming the Friday night parties.
He does good enough this gets him an invite to one of Kavinsky's already infamous "substance parties".
Jiang finds that he actually feels like the boys are interested in who he is, even if they're sharp and pushy and a rather exclusive foursome.
He finds himself drawn in despite all of the second thoughts he knows he should be having, but doesn't
They encourage him to embrace his own desires, and Jiang is not really a mediator, but he does press the others to use their words on occasion, rather than just fighting with their feelings.
Sometimes they seem to need the reminder.
He does also keep a first aid kit in his trunk "just in case" (mostly for Skov)
He has a tattoo of a tiger with roses falling down a river on his right arm ever since that first party. It is not subtle.
Skov went with him to all the sessions
Jiang isn't a streetfighter the way the others are, but this doesn't mean physically incapable.
He still tries to avoid violence if possible, but will step in to defend those he cares for
Frequently takes of advantage of Skov and Swan holding the attention to catch some asshole in the back of the knees or similar less-direct tactics

He's also surprisingly good at Basketball when he plays: he's fast on his feet, and good at penalty shots
